The first (semi)complete piece in Emergence. This is the first of a triptych, and I will almost certainly be coloring it at some point. Working on this was...an experience. I am still trying to organize my thoughts and get over myself, but for now enjoy.

This is so gorgeous. I showed it to my thirteen-year-old daughter (she's taking art class in school so I like to show her inspiring things) and she was delighted by it.

If you ever decided to do coloring pages/coloring books, I bet they would be spectacular.

Aw, thank you! I'm glad she enjoyed it.

The thought of making a coloring book has crossed my mind, especially because I feel like color is one of my weaker points and it would be a relief to sidestep it altogether. But for now I will keep butting my head against the brick wall and trying to improve. ;-)

I hear you--I've been trying to force myself to do more color for the same reason (obvs. I'm not as advanced as you in art!!!) on the grounds that I can't learn if I don't do. :) Good luck!
