That's right, it's winter! And because the weather is a frigid (hah!) fifty degrees out, the people in charge of the heating system have turned the heat up full-blast. It's probably about eighty-five degrees in my room right now. Chilling out with the window open and minimal pajamas.
Looking forward to my first minimal-celebration birthday tomorrow...just going to have the parents coming down to take me out to lunch, really. Everyone's way too busy for any sort of party or get-together I think, and frankly I think I like it better this way. I'd rather just have a nice day than make a big deal about it being my birthday. After all I'm just one day older than the day before, right?
I'm waiting for a nice, sunny day to photograph the painting I have sitting in my studio. The colors are so very delicate...I hope they will turn out well when I transfer them to the digital realm. (especially since I have zero experience with photographing paintings)
Fwah....I need a recharge. I'm marathon-painting this week so I can finally show something in class (been such a slacker). Did just over three hours today, and tomorrow I'll be going until I finish. Considering the size of the painting is 20"x50", I think that two days from start to finish really isn't bad at all. If the weather is still all dreary tomorrow, I'll be able to photograph that one too once we get a nice day.
