Oct. 2nd, 2006 10:07 pmThe wind is blowing warmly through the trees, and I am done with a painting! I'm actually happy with this one, too....thanks to my wonderful boi, I really tried hard to make this painting an expression of me.
I can't believe what nice weather we had today....for the past few days, for that matter. On Saturday I went out canvassing (that's spreading information and awareness about a candidate) with the college democrats, and it was just gorgeous out. Today was glorious, with the wind and the sun out, and brilliant orange leaves flying everywhere from the few trees that've already started to change. Truly, I think of all things in nature I love the wind the best. To feel wrapped up in it, and feel as though you are floating. You know, I've made pretend since I was little that the wind was the life of the trees, and seeing them bob and wave with it was watching them talk to one another...I was quite a silly child, I am sure. ^^;
The Lord was kind to me yesterday....I had received an email from a friend, full of grievances and hurt. It was in me to feel justifiably insulted and snap back, but His grace saved me from that and I was able to compose a calm, kind reply after Mass. It makes me so happy to feel that I am perhaps starting to win over those cruel parts of me that would hurt others....of course I know that they will be with me always. But I can feel Love, and hopefully pass this on to others instead.
Hm...I am starting to think my scanner may be broken. It's plugged in but the light isn't going on to show that it's receiving power. I should probably try to fix that as soon as possible so that if I need a new one perhaps my parents can get me one for my birthday in a few weeks...
Hm. Run-on sentence. My sixth-grade english teacher would kill me.
Well, there are other things which need to be done before I turn in tonight. Peace be.
