Aug. 30th, 2006 09:35 amAll right. This is it. Your junior year and you've yet to find a direction for painting, and so it's finally time to admit that you like fairies, elves, and dragons so you may as well BLOODY PAINT FAIRIES, ELVES AND DRAGONS! *exasperated* C'mon, once you do the first painting and show it in class you can get over any feeling that it's a "silly" subject. Remember Chris' banana-airplane painting from last year? No matter if you put in all the sparkles and spangles in the world, nothing could be as silly as the bananaplane.
Forgive my ramblings, but this dilemma has caused me nothing but grief for the past two years and I am trying to work up the courage to paint something I like and forget about the intellectual interest for once.
Maybe I should just do an energy circle (1 person energy circle? heh) before I start each painting. Ah, well. Other things to worry about while the gesso dries.
