This year's belated count

What with one thing and another, it's taken me a couple weeks to to get around to totaling this year's book count.  But as I'm starting to get a backlog of titles to go into the counting jar, here's my total:

*drumroll*....

45 books read in the past year!  Actually, this is less than I was hoping; I think one a week is a good number to shoot for.  Somewhat concerning is the fact that only 26 of those are books that I've never read before.  Should I make a pact not to reread anything this year?  (With the obvious exception of Ghost Story...because there's no way I'm reading next year's Dresden book without a refresher.)

There are far, far too many good books out there, and far far too little time in the world.

You should definitely read more things you haven't read before. At least set yourself a percentage-- 2 new books for 1 old one, or something equivalent.

Still, nicely done. You certainly beat me. :-)

I suspect you've been reading longer titles than me, though.

I think I need to go for at least a 3 to 1 ratio though, considering how chronic of a problem this is with me.
