D&D geekery meets crochet

I decided to make a second attempt at what I'm calling my American/Pride scarf (photos once I'm done).  The new stitch that I chose is a much denser weave, so more rows are needed for each stripe of color--specifically, ten.  Naturally, I like to forget how many rows I've done so far.  So what does a geek do?  She grabs a d10 out of her dice bag and uses that to keep track.  : P

The Swan Daughter

Finally, finally was able to finish this.  I had to get my studio door up so that the cat couldn’t get into my paints first.

This is based off a fairy tale cereta  and kilroy  invented, about the Moon taking a swan as his queen.   However, a woodcutter fell in love with her as well and conspired to steal her away from the tower the Moon had made for her.

By far this was the most challenging watercolor painting I’ve done so far.  I wouldn’t say it was 100% successful, but I do like it overall.
