Kicking off the house-finding campaign
Feb. 6th, 2016 11:00 pmToday was the busiest of days. We went to the bank first and got the pre-approval thing done (yay for awesome credit scores! I am proud of Husband and myself). Then we had five house showings scheduled over the course of the day, which turned into six after one of the agents took us to another property after the one we'd actually scheduled. Husband's parents were also here and went with us, which was great since they've bought/sold some five or so houses in their lives and have real estate and engineering backgrounds.
Out of the six, three were run-away-screaming, one was meh, and two were houses we could actually see ourselves living in, which seems like a spectacular ratio. Plus we got to meet some agents and evaluate them a bit, too.
Of course by the end I was getting a migraine, so that's fun. Managed to go out for dinner (sushi, om nom) but now I am whomped. Time for bed.
