May. 1st, 2013 10:45 amI am more and more convinced that the point of conditioning (for anyone who isn't an actual athlete) is not to make it so that you can run for long distances without discomfort, but to make the discomfort the kind that isn't going to actually kill you. Expectation management!
Also it is warming up outside (80 degrees out yesterday? bwah?), so I am going to make an effort to run outdoors at least a couples times a week. If I go to academy in July, I don't want to be so used to running in air conditioning that I keel over.
