Holy hells, is it only Wednesday?

In absolutely fantastic news, husband was extended a job offer Monday night! We officially have income again!
Today was also his first day of work. Did I mention that the job is in previous city, an hour and a half away? So there was that blind panic for the first half of Tuesday as we scrambled to find accommodations. Luckily, we have awesome friends, and I am optimistic that we will find something more permanent by next week, whether a sublet or an actual lease. The landlords we absolutely loved when we lived there last time did indicate that they had a few immediately available apartments, which would be fantastic. Saturday is going to be a whirlwind, I can tell you that.
Also, we found out Tuesday that the battery in the van wouldn't hold enough of a charge to even start. The end result of this is that I now know how to change a car battery (and test its voltage!). So, I am extremely happy that I still have a functioning vehicle, even if sorting that out did take up a good part of yesterday afternoon that could have been put to better use.
Biiig changes happening. If I do get this police job (less than two weeks to the interview!), I'm going to blink and it'll be autumn. Craziness. But we get to move back to previous city either way now, which is so awesome it hasn't even begun to sink in yet.
